Led by Tom Cuthbert, CEO Coach, the program offers a practical roadmap for leadership growth, fostering a community of ignited leaders ready to drive success.

Program Overview

  • Monthly Sessions: 90-minute sessions, held either in person or live online via Zoom.

  • Interactive Learning: Workbooks, role-play, breakout discussions, and hands-on exercises.

  • Required Reading: Each session provides required reading from a leadership development book list to enrich your learning and personal growth.

  • Key Benefits: Time-efficient (just 90 minutes monthly), accessible (live or recorded), and packed with actionable tools you can apply right away.

Session Cadence

  • Duration: 12 sessions over one year, with July and December being self paced learning.

  • Focus: Monthly sessions build your leadership skills step-by-step, tailored to real-world challenges.

Learning Framework

  • Preparation: Sessions kick off with pre-read materials to prepare you.

  • Workbooks: Provided in person and in our online learning platform, featuring fill-in-the-blank answers to reinforce key concepts.

  • Scoring: Post-session scoring ensures you’re grasping the material.

  • Accessibility: All content is archived and available to you for one year.

Active Learning

  • Accountability Teams: We will assign you an accountability team to connect online with and complete activities to maintain momentum.

  • Message Board & FAQ: Members have access to a message board and FAQ where Tom answers questions and you can connect with peers between sessions.

  • Progress Reports: Shared with your executive sponsor to highlight your development.

Sessions

Starting May 7, 2025, Spark City Academy’s 12 sessions deliver targeted skills through interactive learning and peer support. Participants commit to 10 behaviors—like attending every session and applying skills daily—ensuring accountability and growth. Here’s how each session shapes your leaders:

  • Duration: One year, with 12 monthly sessions (self facilitated sessions in July and December)

  • Schedule: First Wednesday of each month, 10:30 AM to Noon (90 minutes per session)

  • Location: Shafer Services, San Antonio, TX, with live Zoom streaming and on-demand recordings

  • Format: Interactive workshops, accountability team check-ins, and a hands-on workbook

  2. June 4 - Emotional Self-Awareness - Build empathy and emotional intelligence for authentic leadership.

  4. August 6 - Delegation - Empower teams and free time through effective task assignment.

  5. September 3 - Decision Making - Develop frameworks for confident, timely decisions.

  6. October 1 - Time Management - Optimize productivity with prioritized focus.

  7. November 5 - Conflict Resolution - Turn disputes into opportunities.

  8. December (unfacilitated) - Setting and Achieving Goals -

  9. January 7 - Coaching and Development  - Mentor teams to unlock their potential.

  10. February 4 - Adaptability and Flexibility - Thrive in change with agile strategies.

  11. March 4 - Building and Maintaining Relationships - Foster trust and collaboration for a strong culture.
